Hi, and thanks for the visit. Not the page you were expecting to see? I recently shut down my old site when I signed on with a new hosting provider — not because I had to, but because it was time for a new twist. So, WordPress it is.

If this is your first encounter here, I’m a marketing communications professional with about a decade of experience. I’m always always looking to put my Web skills and tech addiction to good professional use. I am currently a marketing consultant at North Memorial Health Care, and when not working or web surfing, I am:
- Hanging out with family and friends (husband to Carolyn and dad to Taylor and Blake);
- Taking on a home improvement project;
- Attending Elim Lutheran Church;
- ‘Working’ on my iPhone;
- Geocaching (My username is aloumeyer);
- Riding a scooter;
- Serving as a Brooklyn Center neighborhood watch captain;
- Watching Nat Geo or the Vikings.
I have two particularly proud achievements: My status as an Eagle Scout (attained by just 5 percent of Boy Scouts), and I am an accredited member and longtime board member for the Minnesota Health Strategy and Communications Network (MHSCN), where I currently service as president.
On my random to-do list in the near future: home beer and hard-cider brewing (check), building a couple micro guitar amps (saving an Altoids tin for one), constructing a Guitar Hero (Wii) stage for the basement and cutting down the pesky crab apple tree next to our pond. I will very likely blog each task in excruciating minutia, so you have been warned.
Strange facts: My karaoke standbys are “Mac the Knife” and “Six Days on the Road” and I have constructed two, tiny wood boats. Both boats cruised with a trolling motor. I gave each of them away on the condition of acceptance of the fact that they would likely sink.
